The GOED’s Trade Show Co-op Marketing Program gives South Dakota communities the ability to partner with the GOED in the industries that are key to South Dakota. The co-op efforts can diversify a community’s economic efforts by actively marketing and selling to an industry that fits well in a specific community.
The cost to the community to participate in the Trade Show Co-op Marketing Program $1,200, plus travel expenses. Items that could be included in the $1,200 are:

The Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT Show) and Conference is the largest and most comprehensive trade show for all professionals involved with the shooting sports, hunting and law enforcement industries. It is the world’s premier exposition of combined firearms, ammunition, law enforcement, cutlery, outdoor apparel, optics and related products and services. The SHOT Show attracts buyers from all 50 states and more than 100 countries. The SHOT Show is owned and sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
In 2012, the GOED and cooperating South Dakota communities produced 36 new leads from the show. Since expanding our key industry to Shooting, Hunting, & Outdoors, we are optimistic that 2013 will yield even more results.

The Biotechnology Industry Organization produces the BIO International Convention, the world’s largest gathering of the biotechnology industry, along with industry-leading investor and partnering meetings held around the world.
The BIO International Convention showcases the many ways the biotechnology and life science industries work together to help heal, fuel, and feed the world. In 2011, 15,000+ people from across the globe converged in Washington, D.C. to attend the global event for biotechnology.

The medical manufacturing industry, which continues to grow, has consistently demonstrated sustained longevity. MD&M exhibitors are suppliers of raw materials, software, manufacturing machinery, components, subassemblies, and contract services used to design and produce medical devices.
Attendees are the executives, R&D staff, and design and manufacturing managers responsible for designing and producing more than half of the medical products used worldwide.
